It is actually true that you don’t need funding to do your research. But consider when you have downloads of voluminous materials relevant o your topic and you seems lost and couldn’t just get the right ones that is most suited to your work. I know no research is ‘free’ to produce and share, there’s the salary of the researchers, just like the teacher, the nurses, the doctors and other professions. Ordinarily a researcher might find it more easier to lay hands on existing and finished work. But all that comes out of it for sure is close to 90% pirated. I mean plagiarism, repetitions and jargons. I mean it’s all is PIRACY . The professional researcher needs organizational infrastructure (e.g. tech, desk-space), libraries, and the costs of downloading resources and utilizing applications that are not so easy to come by.
