PERCEPTION AND USE OF FACEBOOK FOR EDUCATIONAL PURPOSE

The use of Facebook as a learning environment has been issue of contention in the academic field. Questions regarding content ownership, privacy, stalking and cyber bullying, and virtual integrity are often problems that require consideration. In other words, within the university environment, students exhibiting high addiction to social media, are constantly indulged in activities that does not augur well for their learning using the facebook platform. That is to say, rather than share solutions and solve difficult school lessons, they prefer to bully, make crazy comments and download or upload unnecessary files that does not add a dime to their desired knowledge in academics. These problems and many more are what prompted this study.

Though conflicting evidence exists on the impact of Facebook on dedicated study time with some suggesting that Facebook users spend less time studying and achieve lower academic results compared to Facebook non-users. For instance, many times have i come across students who uses facebook on a daily basis but they have never in anyway improve in academic performance. Equally, others have been using the platform to increase their knowledge base searching for research information and other vital areas of academic. Though, it could not be ascertained yet whether those that are actually doing well in their studies all uses the facebook medium. But the truth yet remain, regardless how students use or perceive facebook, there is need to understand the educational purpose it serves. Moreso, the problem of low academic performance is a critical issue for concerned stakeholders in the educational sector. This is because we cannot fold our hands and watch the future leaders of this country rot away by engaging themselves in unwholesome activities via facebook. The consumption pattern of undergraduate students in the Ambrose Alli University is indeed a course of worry because majority are unaware of facebook potential to provide educational benefits to students. Incorporation of core purpose of using Facebook into the learning resources of university courses may impact positively on student, as they are able to integrate academic requirements with a social networking platform that they are familiar and highly engaged with. But the aspect of facebook use that has more profound impact has to be unravelled. This is the gap in which this present research aims to fill. Hence, the need to investigate perception of use of facebook for educational purpose by undergraduates.

PROVERBS IN AFRICAN DRAMA: CASE OF EREGARE’S EGBASE AND IDADA’S ODUDUWA: KING OF EDOS

This research presents additional information to the already existing research findings on the proverb use in drama. A lot of works have been done on the play texts under study but none of the studies within our reach at the time of this research has focused mainly on the proverbial elements as used by the author under review. However, our research findings will be with particular reference to the use of proverbs and its significance in drama with emphasis on Eregare’s Egbase and Idada’s Oduduwa: King Of Edos . The findings that will be provided at the end of this research will be of great benefit to future researchers in the field of literature in general. Before exploring the scholarly review of proverbs use in texts, it is pertinent we have a detailed understanding of the concept “proverb”. Indeed many of the definitions of proverbs take care of one aspect of the concept or the other. Proverbs are not learned nor premeditated as such; they come naturally with age, especially to

Secret of a Project Writer

It is actually true that you don’t need funding to do your research. But consider when you have downloads of voluminous materials relevant o your topic and you seems lost and couldn’t just get the right ones that is most suited to your work. I know no research is ‘free’ to produce and share, there’s the salary of the researchers, just like the teacher, the nurses, the doctors and other professions. Ordinarily a researcher might find it more easier to lay hands on existing and finished work. But all that comes out of it for sure is close to 90% pirated. I mean plagiarism, repetitions and jargons. I mean it’s all is PIRACY .     The professional researcher needs organizational infrastructure (e.g. tech, desk-space), libraries, and the costs of downloading resources and utilizing applications that are not so easy to come by.
